Gcam is a gtk webcam viewer for philips usb webcams. It's goal to support all of the features of the linux pwc driver. It can save single shots as jpeg. Currently it only works with the pwc driver and not with other v4l devices.

1/06/2001: The gcam version in the sweat cvs works with linux 2.4.5
31/05/2001: linux 2.4.5 includes a version of the pwc driver, gcam will not work with it though because it assumes the driver can deliver RGB. See the pwc driver page for more details

24/03/2001: The first version was released!! More news will probably follow.
